This event is for everyone interested in taking part in the call, in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Participants are also invited to present their project ideas (4 slides / max 5 minutes) during the brokerage event. These should describe a proposal idea and introduce the proposer’s specific competence in relation with the call. On July 20 2010, the EU announced a package of FP7 collaborative R&D calls including Public Private Partnerships in the thematic areas of ICT and NMP. The total funding made available for these calls amounts to 6.4 billion Euros and is open to organisations in EU member states and associated countries. Key to making the most of these opportunities is collaborative development where end users, technology, product and application developers are all brought together. To encourage the participation of Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN (ESP KTN) members in these R&D calls, the ESP KTN is hosting a number of dissemination events around the UK. A speaker from the FP7UK National Contact Point will outline the forthcoming calls and competitions for collaborative R&D in FP7 including ICT and NMP technologies and will give practical guidance on how to maximise the chances of success of your proposal. There will be a presentation from the Enterprise Europe Network on how to locate partners for your proposal, a presentation on EU and Innovation Funding assistance and a number of case studies will be presented on proposals that have successfully gained funding from the European Framework programme. To enhance networking, the event will make time available for delegates to introduce their organisation and potential proposal topic to the meeting. EcoCluP is tackling this challenge and offers investor-readiness-trainings for SMEs in 10 different countries.
